Utah Transit Authority riders can now skip the ticket line and use their smart phones to buy their fares.
The UTA GoRide mobile ticketing application enables customers to plan a trip and purchase tickets from their mobile device. For now, the app is good for one-way fares (adult and reduced/senior) and day passes on bus and TRAX light rail. Other products will follow.
“UTA is excited to bring a mobile ticketing app to commuters,” said development manager Dave Snyder in a statement. “We’re adding a convenient and modern way for our users to manage their commutes.”
