Brazil’s National Urban Mobility Policy has a core objective of reducing transport inequalities nationwide and promoting more inclusive, safe, resilient and sustainable mobility in every Brazilian city. However, actual progress toward these goals in the country’s public transport planning has often left out the most vulnerable social groups — particularly Black women.
